"Points"

The final episode of a great mini series. And they end it on a good one. In this episode we are back with Winters where easy company moves really quick through Germany. In this episode the men of easy company take one of the most important things to the Germans, the eagles nest. The eagles nest was a bunker high in the mountains that the Germans built for Hitler. And the Americans took it with out a round fired shortly after that the war in Europe ends. And every one is excited to get home. But the military had a point system in which you had to have a certain number of points in order to go home. And many of them didn’t so they had to do meaningless tasks in order to get them. One scene in the episode is where some of easy pulls up to some stopped jeeps in to road. A drunken U.S. had shot a German and a British solider for not giving him gas and after fight he shoots one of the guys in the head. He some how survived but has a lot of recovery to do. And that guy that shot the guys was arrested. Even though many troops didn’t have the points to go home the war in the pacific ends and the war finally end in the pacific and they all get to go home. One of my favorite parts of this episode was where they go through what all the men did after the war and that was really interesting.
