"The Breaking Point"

Episode seven my favorite episode in the whole series. This is really where some bad commanders are removed and good ones get promoted. In this episode you follow First Sergeant Carwood Lipton through some of the combat after the 101st was relieved by Patton. In this episode the company gets a really bad leader Norman Dike and all the men don’t want to fight under him. And it really comes clear that his is a bad leader during the attack on Foy Belgium. Winters who was again promoted to battalion commander dose not like his leading. My favorite scene is in this episode. it is where Dike freezes up and Winters almost runs out to yell at him but his commander yells at him to stop. And Winters turns doesn’t even ecologies his commander and tells 1st Lt. Ronald Speirs to relieve Dike. And with out hesitation Speirs runs out the takes over for Dike and becomes the best easy commander since Winters. Another good scene is where Speirs, after he takes command, needs to link up with another company. So he runs right through the enemy likes and hooks up with the other company on the other side. But just like Lipton says that wasn’t the surprising part after he hooked up with them he ran back. And to me that really shows a good commander. And I think from that moment forward easy company new they had a great commander. This is my favorite because it really shows heroes in the making.
